The current measles outbreak is a reminder of the importance of the MMR vaccination.
MMR vaccination is usually given as a first dose around the age of 13 months and then again as a ‘booster’ jab before school at age three to five. If your child has already had the vaccine it should be recorded in their medical notes and in their personal health record (the `Red Book`).
It’s never too late for your children (or yourself) to ‘catch up’ with MMR vaccination if they missed it earlier. Children up to the age of 18 and adults without immunity (usually those born after 1970 who had no immunisation) should have a catch-up MMR vaccination.
Ask your GP or practice nurse if you need to discuss this further, or please contact reception to book an appointment for the immunisation if you or your child require it.

Our primary health care team is comprised of many difference disciplines all working together to provide a seamless service to you.
We have a team of 9 doctors, and in addition we also have a variable number of doctors in training at differing levels of their careers.
Meet the partners and other doctors
Our Practice Manager, Susan Senecal, is in overall charge of the management and administration at both Tonbridge and Penshurst, and is happy to deal with any queries.
We have a professional nursing team of five RGNs assisted by one healthcare assistant.
We have a large team of receptionists and dispensers who meet you on arrival and deal with any enquires. Their roles also involve answering the telephone, booking appointments and dispensing medication.
We also have a large backroom team working in the prescription office and general office performing their vital role in dealing with prescription enquires, results and general office enquiries.
Our branch surgery at Penshurst also has a dispensary.
