The current measles outbreak is a reminder of the importance of the MMR vaccination.
MMR vaccination is usually given as a first dose around the age of 13 months and then again as a ‘booster’ jab before school at age three to five. If your child has already had the vaccine it should be recorded in their medical notes and in their personal health record (the `Red Book`).
It’s never too late for your children (or yourself) to ‘catch up’ with MMR vaccination if they missed it earlier. Children up to the age of 18 and adults without immunity (usually those born after 1970 who had no immunisation) should have a catch-up MMR vaccination.
Ask your GP or practice nurse if you need to discuss this further, or please contact reception to book an appointment for the immunisation if you or your child require it.

Warders is a General Medical Practice situated in the heart of Tonbridge in Kent with a dispensing branch surgery in Penshurst.
In addition to providing general medical services we also provide asthma, diabetes, women's health, travel and hypertension clinics to name but a few. All of these services are available to our NHS patients. There are also counselling, physiotherapy and podiatry services available on site. The Physiotherapy and MASTA Travel Clinics are additionally open on a private basis.
There is a Pharmacy at the Tonbridge site, and we are also able to dispense medicines to many of our patients at our Penshurst Surgery, located in the village hall.
All clinics are surrounded by free parking but we ask that you only use the parking for the duration of your appointment; if possible please walk or cycle.
While our practice has continued to expand and grow we have adapted and changed with it - to meet the requirements of all our patients whatever their age or needs.
From our beginnings in 1815 to the present day, our philosophy has always been to put our patients first and provide the best available healthcare within the resources available. We also believe that continuity of care - with ongoing care from particular Doctors and Nurses is the key to making this happen. In this way we combine the best aspects of both traditional General Practice with up-to-date, progressive 21st Century healthcare.
